The Jinnah Institute of Cardiology (JIC) in Lahore is a state-of-the-art, specialized healthcare facility constructed by the Infrastructure Development Authority of the Punjab (IDAP). 

Designed as a modern, seven-story facility with a 250-bed capacity, JIC addresses the growing regional demand for advanced cardiovascular care. Strategically located near the canal with convenient transport links, it provides sub-sidized, high-quality treatment to low-income populations. 

The institute is fully equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical infrastructure, featuring specialized cardiac emergencies, operation theaters, modular CCUs, ICUs, and comprehensive radiology services to effectively mitigate cardiac mortality across Punjab.

Overview:

Applications are invited for the appointment against the various positions on lump sum contract (tenure) basis for a period of 3 years at Jinnah Institute of Cardiology Lahore under specialized health care and medical education department Lahore.

Eligibility Criteria:

Medical Director (PS-11)

Number of Posts: 01

Age Limit: 40–70 years

Qualification:

• MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by HEC/PMDC.
• MD/MS/FCPS/MRCP with CCT, Diploma American Board, or equivalent qualification in Cardiology/Cardiac Surgery recognized by PMDC.

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years post-fellowship experience in a recognized healthcare institution.
• At least 5 years in a clinical leadership role.
• Tenure:
• 4 years, with eligibility for reappointment subject to satisfactory performance evaluation by the Board.

Senior Consultant Pathologist (PS-10)

Number of Posts: 01

Age Limit: 30–55 years

Qualification:

• MBBS with FCPS/PhD/MPhil/MSc (2 years duration)/FRC Pathology in the relevant subject or equivalent qualification.
• OR MBBS with postgraduate qualification such as D.C. Pathology or equivalent qualification.

Experience: 6 years practical experience in the relevant field after post-graduation in a recognized institution.

Research Requirement: Minimum 2 research papers published in PMDC/HEC/internationally recognized impact-factor journals.

Consultant Pathologist (PS-9)

Number of Posts: 01

Age Limit: 30 to 55 years

Qualification:

• MBBS with FCPS/PhD/MPhil/MSc (2 years duration)/FRC Pathology in the relevant subject or equivalent qualification.
• OR MBBS with postgraduate qualification such as D.C. Pathology or equivalent qualification.

Experience: 3 years practical experience in the relevant field after post-graduation in a recognized institution.

Research Requirement: Minimum 2 research papers published in PMDC/HEC/internationally recognized impact-factor journals.

Other Senior Consultants

• Qualification: MBBS with MD or MS/FCPS/MRCP with CCT or Diplomat American Board or other equivalent qualification in the relevant subject recognized by PM&DC.
• Experience: At least 6 years of experience after post-graduation.
• Research and Publications: Minimum 2 research papers in their relevant field, in PMDC/HEC/international recognized impact factor journal.
• IPS: 10
• Age: 30 to 55 Years 

Other Consultants

• Qualification: MBBS with MD or MS/FCPS/MRCP with CCT or Diplomat American Board or other equivalent qualification in the relevant subject recognized by PM&DC.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience after post-graduation.
• Research and Publications: Minimum 2 research papers in their relevant field, in PMDC/HEC/international recognized impact factor journal.
• IPS: 09
• Age: 30 to 55 Years

Nursing Officer (Charge Nurse Female)

IPS: 6

Number of Posts: 400

Age Limit: 25–35 years

Qualifications:

• B.Sc. Nursing Generic (4 Years) with valid registration from Pakistan Nursing Council; OR
• Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery with valid registration from Pakistan Nursing Council plus 1-year Post RN.

Experience: Experience as Charge Nurse in a reputed healthcare setup/hospital in the relevant specialty (e.g., Cardiology, ICU) will be preferred.
